1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PodDistill ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PodDistill is a web application that helps podcasters create newsletters from podcast episodes using AI-powered transcription and content generation. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers.
3. Accounts
You must sign in with a Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
5. Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of all podcast content you submit and newsletters you generate. By using the Service, you grant PodDistill a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. Generated newsletters are yours to use, edit, and distribute as you see fit.
6. Billing and Subscriptions
Free accounts include a limited number of newsletters. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe at the rate displayed on the pricing page. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
7. AI-Generated Content
Newsletters are generated using AI (Claude by Anthropic). While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before publishing or sending it to your audience.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google (authentication), Stripe (payments), AssemblyAI (transcription), Anthropic (AI generation), and Resend (email delivery). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PodDistill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
